SIKESTON -- Glenna May Priday, 82, died Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2017, at her home in Sikeston.

She was born March 13, 1935, in Fredericktown, to the late Mont and Beulah (Mooney) Smith. A graduate of Southeast Missouri State University, she retired from Sikeston Public Schools after teaching 22 years. She had been an active member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority for 58 years and had been a member of First Christian Church in Sikeston since 1970.

On Jan. 1, 1955, she married Billy Dean Priday in Fredericktown, and he survives of the home.

Also surviving are three children, Ron (Christy) Priday of Sikeston, Dawn (Daniel) Erickson of Ruston, La. and Brad (Jennifer) Priday of Kokomo, Ind.; seven grandchildren, Hailey Priday (Chris) Sullivan, Jacob (Megan) Priday, Benjamin Priday, Emily Erickson, Kayla Priday, Kelsey Priday (Blake) Donson and Kennedy Priday; eight great-grandchildren, Avin, Jude and Amelia Sullivan, Addison, Jackson, Emerson and Peyton Priday and Lilly May Donson. A special Thank You to Shelly Chandler and Amy Dill for their wonderful caregiving.

She was preceded in death by one sister and brother-in-law, Geraldine and Edwin Meyer; and by one brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Jeannie Smith.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 29 at First Christian Church.

The funeral service will be Monday, Oct. 30 at 10 a.m. at the First Christian Church with the Rev. David Nash, the pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at noon at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield.

Pallbearers will be: Jacob Priday, Ben Priday, Dan Erickson, Darrel Hicks, Josh Hicks and Ben Hicks.
