Alean Smith

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -- Alean Noyes Smith, age 89, died Jan. 1, 2018, at Jefferson City Manor Care Center in Jefferson City.

She was born April 16, 1928, in Sikeston, to the late Oliver Noyes and Othel Brooks Noyes. She was a lifelong resident of Sikeston until moving to Jefferson City in May 2016. Alean was a homemaker and a member of Hunter Memorial Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include: two daughters, Linda Smith Crawford of Jasper, Ark., and Becky Smith Johnson of Jefferson City; three grandchildren, Kristin Craig, Rachael Crawford and Audra Crawford; and one great-grandchild, Nate Crawford.

Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. Saturday at Ponder Funeral Home with the Rev. Kelley Grubbs, pastor of Murray Lane Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Clifford Johnson, Tom Richey, Robert Hinton and Terrance Flenoid.
