Jimmie Cave

EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. -- Jimmie Wayne Cave, 74, died Jan. 20, 2018, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Born March 24, 1943, in East Prairie, son of the late James Herman and Irene Mae Stockman Cave, he was a veteran of the United States Navy and member of East Prairie Masonic Lodge. He was employed by MidSouth Tractor Parts for over 30 years and retired from D&S Salvage in Sikeston. He was of the Baptist belief.

On Dec. 13, 1969, he married Darlene Moore; she survives of the home.

Additional survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Dana Cave and Randy Browning Jr. of East Prairie; and four grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Roy Herman Cave and James Howard Cave; and three sisters, Ruth Sturgeon, Mary Ketchum and Anna Mae Cave.

Visitation is from 5 p.m. until service time at 7 p.m. Friday at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie. Martin Lucas will officiate.

Private burial will follow at a later date in East Prairie Memorial Park.
