Teaching children to save

Officials with Southern Bank led the "Teach Children To Save" program at Matthews Elementary School in Matthews. Students in third, fourth and fifth grades took part. They received Southern Bank savings books, pencils, stickers and rulers. Seated from left are Ray Mills, Matthews mayor, and Angela Hanlin, elementary principal; and standing are: Tera L.
