Reward now being offered for information on escaped prisoners

CARUTHERSVILLE, Mo. --A $1,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and apprehension of the two escaped prisoners who've been missing since Sunday, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The offenders, William Carter, 27, of Kennett and Joseph Latamondeer, 41, of East Prairie escaped Sunday from the Pemiscot County Jail in Caruthersville.

Carter was being held in the Pemiscot County Jail pending court appearance for the charge of two counts of first degree murder. Latamondeer was being held on in the Pemiscot County Jail pending court appearance for several charges including first degree domestic assault, resisting arrest and theft.

"Both are considered to be armed and dangerous," said Pemiscot County Sheriff Tommy Greenwell on Sunday.
