City Incident - On 04-02-18 Fire Department was paged to 301 East 1st Street for a vehicle fire in the parking lot of State Farm Insurance. City Pumper 1 responded and upon arrival located the vehicle in the parking lot, the first was extinguished with no further damage to any other property.

Rural Incident- on 04-10-18 at 16:21 Fire Department was paged for a single vehicle accident with entrapment on Interstate 55 at 38 MM North Bound. Rescue Truck 1 Along with Rural Pumper 1 responded. Upon arrival they found a single vehicle accident with 1 occupant trapped inside once extricated the patient was transported to hospital for minor injuries.

Rural Incident on 04-12-18 at 12:44 Fire Department was paged to 932 East State Hwy 162 for a brush Fire. Rural Pumper 1 Responded. Upon Arrival they located a small brushfire less than acre burning in a fence line. Due to very high winds. The fire was contained to that one area with no property loss.

Rural Incident 04-13-18 Fire Department was paged to Interstate 55 at 33.4 MM for a Semi Tractor Trailer that had jack knifed and hit the guard rail. Rural Pumper 1 & Utility Truck 1 Responded. Upon Arrival they found a Semi Truck which had damaged its fuel tanks in the crash. The incident was considered a haz-mazt because of the leaked diesel fuel approximately 150 gallons. The remaining fuel was cleaned up and the incident was closed.
