Mary Vandergriff

BENTON, Mo. — Mary Irene Vandergriff, 67, died May 18, 2018, at her home in Benton.

Born May 10, 1951, in Scottsboro, Neb., to the late Ruben Elliott and Pearl Irene Day Boggs, she also lived in the Bell City, Van Buren and Ellington areas before moving to Benton five years ago.

In 1977, in Ellington, Mo., she married Arthur Vandergriff who preceded her in death in 1996.

Survivors include: one daughter and husband, Susan and Chad Morris; of Benton; one brother, Jack Boggs of Springfield, Mo.; one sister Connie Lacy of Bell City; one  granddaughter Bridget Patterson of Fisk, Mo.; one grandson Jeramia Patterson of Poplar Bluff, Mo. and three great grandchildren.

Services were held May 22 and burial was at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield with Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home of Bloomfield in charge of arrangements.
