John Reiter

PUXICO, Mo. — John Henry Reiter, 77, died Feb. 16, 2019, in Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Born April 9, 1941, in Puxico, son of the late Martin John and Avis Mildred Potter Reiter, he had lived in the Puxico area most of his life. He was a retired school teacher and a member of Fairview Methodist Church. He was a US Army veteran.

Survivors include: two sisters, Claudette Jines of Dexter and Gertrude Killen of Cape Girardeau; one nephew/caregiver, Jim Killen of Franklin, Ky.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Ernest Reiter.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Fairview Cemetery near Puxico.

Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery near Puxico with Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
