DEXTER, Mo. — David Ray Denkins, 67, died Feb. 22, 2019, at his home.

Born to the late William Cletus and Julia Victoria Menley, he had lived in  Dexter most of his life. He was a diesel mechanic for years before becoming disabled.

Survivors include: one daughter, Julia Thorn of Bloomfield; two sons, David Lee

Peacock and Glyn Denkins; two brothers, Ted Denkins and  Bill Denkins; and 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three sisters; Betty Acton, Shirley Jeter and Wilena Thompkins.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday.

Burial will follow in the Hagy Cemetery at Dexter.
