New Madrid technical skills students compete in TOPS

Students who placed in the contest were: Medical Quiz Bowl team Jordan Harris, Alexia Eakens, Alyssa Gilmore, Alexus Kolwyck, first place; Medical Quiz Bowl was Jamaia Smith, Justice Sutton, Elizabeth Carnell, and Betsy Riggs, third place; Gavin Bond and David Walton, CPR, first place; Lanie Wilkerson, Early Childhood Bulletin Board, first place. Also participating in the contest were: Kayla Carrisalez (Early Childhood Development), Curtis Smith (Welding), and Josh Chaney (Welding).

New Madrid Technical Skills Center students competed Feb. 8 at the Today’s Outstanding Professional Skills (TOPS) contest at Arkansas Northeastern College in Blytheville, Ark. Seven students walked away with first place trophies and a two-year, tuition-free scholarship.
