The teachers and staff at Matthews Elementary School at Matthews celebrated reading recently by dressing up as characters from their favorite books.

Also taking part was Melanie McCord as Mrs. Large (Five Minutes Peace). The students at the school joined in by dressing as their favorite vocabulary word. Jill Polk (right) dressed as magic.
