Porter, Hay named Students of the Month

SIKESTON — Megan Leigh Porter and Alli Payton Hay were named Sikeston High School Students of the Month for March.

Sikeston Public Schools Foundation, which sponsors the monthly program, names two seniors each month for the honor during the 2018-2019 school year.

Porter is the daughter of Jim and Jennifer Porter. She is a member of Student Council and student body secretary, National Honors Society vice president, Junior Optimist Club President, Red Peppers Vice Cayenne, Yearbook senior editor, DECA, Top 10 percent of her class and A+ Program. Her hobbies include cheering on her Bulldog athletes, working on art projects and planning her future at Mississippi State University.

Hay, who is the daughter of Brent and Amy Hay, is active in the marching band, varsity soccer, Red Peppers, NHS, Model UN, FBLA, A+ Program, 21+ Club and Link Crew. In her spare time, she enjoys working crosswords, fishing, drawing, painting, spending time with friends and watching documentaries.
