JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. — Diana Parks Long, age 69 of Johnson City, met her Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, April 8, 2019, in the Johnson City Medical Center.
She was the daughter of Kenneth and Vera Gant Nace, born to them on Aug. 13, 1949, in Buffalo, N.Y. She was the loving wife of Richard H. J. Long and was a member of the Antioch Church of Johnson City.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Larry Matthew Parks.
She is survived by her loving husband; Richard Long; a son, Larry Nathaniel Parks; two stepsons, Richard Long Jr. and Chris Rhoades; two stepdaughters, Priscilla Oakley and Meredith R. Smith; grandchildren: Jacob Johnson, Kierstin Carlson, Zoe Parks, Erica Parks Cole, Kelton Oakley, Camden Oakley, Sophia Long, Savannah Smith, Olivia Smith and Skylar Smith; an aunt, Bobbie Glenn; and her loving dog, Bailey Long.
A celebration of life service will be conducted in the Antioch Church of Johnson City on Wednesday, April 10, 2019, at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Pete Tackett officiating.
Friends will be received at the Antioch Church on Wednesday, April 10, 2019, after 5 p.m. until the hour of service.
A committal service for Diana, will be held in the Mountain Home National Cemetery at a later date.
Tetrick Funeral Services in Johnson City is in charge of arrangements.
