DELTA, Mo. — Dayton L. King, 76, died Aug. 18, 2019, at his home in Delta.

Born June 9, 1943, in Delta, son of the late Floy King and Zona Hodge King, he was the owner and operator of Bob’s Sinclair for many years in Scott City and member of the First Baptist Church in Delta, 

On Nov. 7, 1964, in Delta, he married Janet Sue Menz, who preceded him in death on June 5, 2018.

Survivors include: one son, Rocky King (Tomma) of Delta; one daughter, Holly Hampton (Lanney) of Delta; one brother, Charles King of Delta, two sisters, Kathern Anthony of Oran and Donnie Yarbro of Cape Girardeau; and four grandchildren.

Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Buford, Danny, Duree, J.D., and Louie King; two sisters, Imogene Hitchcock and Nadine Crowden; and one grandson.

Visitation is from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral home in Chaffee, where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Randy Conn officiating. 

Burial will follow in the Kenyon Cemetery at Delta.
