Will work actually help the home?

I see the “Red House,” or Green Meadows Retirement home on N. Kingshighway is undergoing some work, hopefully improvements, this August. I have to wonder though if the improvements will truly benefit the residents of the home and the surrounding neighborhood. Is the work just to bring the badly tattered building up to code? Watching over the past few months, I hope that the residents see a change this winter. When the men and women can be seen walking throughout the city in large winter coats during 100+ temperatures, I have to wonder how they are encouraged to dress and behave during dangerously cold months. There seems to be a lack of supervision with these people who are entrusting their end-of-life care to such a facility. As you drive by, you may see a person on hands and knees eating grass, or you may see a group of friends laughing on the porch. It just depends on the time of day.

In need of a car dealership

Yes, my name is Shirley. My number is 931-4609 and I am looking for someone who might sell me a vehicle, a decent used mechanical vehicle, a car preferably. I need to buy a car for me and my daughter to get around in. I can pay payments. I get a check each month and I can sign papers you know. I’m looking for somebody who will sell me a car on payments. So would somebody be interested in helping me do this? I would appreciate it so much. I live here in Sikeston.

Sikeston politics to blame for change

Yes, I’d like to speak out about Chief Mike Williams being relieved of his duty. I think he did a good job and was concerned about the people of Sikeston and his officers. It’s just Sikeston politics is the reason he’s no longer gonna be there. Thank you for letting me speak out.
