ORAN, Mo. —Shirley Ann Young, 81, died Feb. 3, 2020, at her home in Oran.

Born Dec. 15, 1938, in St. Louis, daughter of the late Joseph Hurst and Clara Hildebrand Hurst, she was a former employee at the Oran International Hat Factory, T&H grocery in Oran and Amerimart in Benton before her retirement. She was also a member of the Guardian Angel Church.

She was first married to Walter Don Vance in Oran, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 2, 2015. She later married Gene Young in Blodgett, and he preceded her in death on July 20, 2009.

Survivors include: three daughters, Jeannine Stause (Scott) and Debra Frala (Brian) of Oran and Kimberly Crump (Billy) of Scott City; and 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Keith Allen Vance; two brothers, Richard Hurst and Arlen Hurst.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Oran with a prayer recited at 4 p.m.

A funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Guardian Angel Catholic Church with the Rev. Randy Tochtrop officiating.

Burial will follow in the Forest Hills Cemetery near Morley.

Pallbearers will be; Ryan Frala, Mike Bramlett, Dylan Cooper, Steven Mock, Nick Cooper and Noah Crump.
