BMU to waive late fees through June 30

SIKESTON — During a special session of the Board of Municipal Utilities Board meeting Tuesday, the Board approved waiving all late fees through June 30. The action was taken to coincide with the COVID-19 relief rebates BMU customers will be receiving on their next two months’ billing statements.

“As a public utility, we are all members of the same Sikeston community and we are making every effort to support each other through these trying times,” Sikeston BMU said in a statement.
