UPDATE: Missing Stoddard County child found

UPDATE: The missing child was found near the family’s residence shortly before 9 a.m.

Emergency medical services personnel are on scene evaluating the child, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. No additional information was available as of 9 a.m. regarding the child's condition.

Law enforcement are currently at the scene of a missing child in Stoddard County, northeast of Bloomfield.

A 5-year-old boy was missing from his bed this morning, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, which is assisting Stoddard County Sheriff’s Office.

The child has autism and was last seen at bedtime.

Troop E officers and the Dexter Police Department is en route to assist with the search.
