Distributing food

Members of the 1-138th Infantry Regiment of the Missouri National Guard in St. Louis assisted with Thursday's distribution of food from the New Madrid Food Pantry, 201 Pinnell Lane. The 1-138th is working with food banks in Southeast Missouri due to the shortage of volunteers and is assisting with packing the food as well as distributioin. Volunteers at the food pantry said there is a slight uptick in those requesting food. The New Madrid Food Pantry is open from 10 a.m. to noon the first, second and third Thursdays of the month and from 4:30-6 p.m. on the fourth Thursday of the month.
