Seven new COVID-19 cases in Scott County since Friday

The Scott County Health Department is reporting seven new positive COVID-19 cases since Friday, with five being reported Saturday and another two being reported on Monday.

The new positive cases gives Scott County a total of 139 positive cases with 39 of those active. There have been 11 deaths and 89 recoveries.

Of the seven new cases, two were between the ages of 20-29 and two were between the ages of 40-49 with one under the age of 19, one between the ages of 50-59 and one between the ages of 60-69. Five of the cases were female.

The Mississippi County Health Department is reporting two additional cases since Friday, giving the county 73 confirmed COVID-19 cases. The two new cases are members of the general community, making 26 that have tested positive. There are still 47 inmates that have tested positive at the Southeast Correctional Center in Charleston, along with 20 staff members.

The Mississippi County Health Department is partnering with SEMO Health Network and the Missouri National Guard to hold drive-thru testing Thursday from 10 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. at the Opportunity Outreach Center, located at 601 W. Marshall in Charleston. The event is for Mississippi County residents only and there will 150 tests available.

The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services reports two new cases since Friday in New Madrid County giving the county 35 cases, two new cases in Pemiscot County giving them 104 while reporting four new cases in Stoddard County, making 118 cases.

The Stoddard County Public Health Center reported their eighth death in the county Friday related to COVID-19 and seventh from the outbreak at the Crowley Ridge Nursing Home.

The Dunklin County Health Department reported an increase of eight cases since Friday, giving the county 62 confirmed cases. Twenty of those cases are active with three deaths and 39 have recovered.

Rapid, free testing for COVID-19 will be offered on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at the Dunklin County Health Department. The tests will be by appointment only. To make an appointment, call 573-888-9008.

The Cape Girardeau County Public Health Center is reporting 108 positive COVID-19 cases, up five from Friday. There are also 29 probable cases and 92 of 137 have recovered with three deaths and 42 active cases.

The DHSS reports 16,189 cases in Missouri Monday afternoon, an increase of 604 since Friday. There have been 880 deaths reported, up just eight from Friday.
