Eight new COVID-19 cases in Scott County since Tuesday

Eight new positive COVID-19 cases have been reported in Scott County since Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Scott County Health Department, the county now has 172 positive cases with 24 of those active. There has been 137 recoveries and 11 deaths.

Of the new cases, four are under the age of 19 while three are between the ages of 20-29. One is between the ages of 50-59 and four are male and four female.

The Mississippi County Health Department is still reporting 91 positive cases with 44 of those inside the general population of the county with 11 active cases.

The Missouri Department of Corrections is reporting that 41 of the 47 inmates at the Southeast Correctional Center in Charleston who tested positive for the coronavirus have recovered while 16 of the 19 staff members have recovered as well.

The New Madrid County Health Department is reporting three additional cases, making 45 positive cases with eight cases active.

The Dunklin County Health Department reports an increase of 10 cases since Tuesday, with 104 positive cases Thursday afternoon. Of those, 23 are active while 73 have recovered.

The Stoddard County Public Health Center reports three additional cases since Tuesday, giving the county 138 with 14 of those active.

The Pemiscot County Health Center reports 111 positive cases with two cases active.

The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services reported that Missouri has 22,283 positive cases Thursday with 1,022 deaths. There are 716 hospitalizations in the state.
