New Madrid County reports new coronavirus cases

The New Madrid County Health Department reported 18 new positive coronavirus cases on Monday and one new case on Tuesday, giving the county 149 positive cases since the pandemic began in March.

Of the cases, 39 are active with 110 having recovered.

The Scott County Health Department reported an additional nine positive cases and 14 more people that have recovered on Tuesday afternoon. To date, the county has reported 305 total cases since March with 62 active and 230 recovered. There have been 13 deaths related to COVID-19 in the county.

The Mississippi County Health Department last reported 82 cases in the general population with eight active cases and 74 out of isolation.

According to the Missouri Department of Corrections, there are two active cases remaining among the 20 staff members who have tested positive and one inmate case is still active among the 47 inmates that tested positive.

One additional case was reported in Stoddard County Tuesday afternoon, giving the county 20 active cases with 163 recoveries to go along with nine deaths that have been related to the virus.

An additional case was also reported by the Pemiscot County Health Center, giving the county 184 positive cases with 20 active and 158 released from isolation. There are three people hospitalized with six deaths related to the virus.

The Cape Girardeau County Public Health Center reported nine additional cases Tuesday afternoon, giving the county 539 confirmed cases with 45 probables. There are 157 active cases with 424 recovered and three deaths related to the coronavirus.

The Dunklin County Health Department last reported 201 positive cases with 54 active and 144 recovered. Three deaths related to COVID-19 have been reported in the county.
