Local students graduate from college

Harding University

SEARCY, Ark. — More than 800 students received diplomas and will be recognized as Harding University graduates during a virtual ceremony on Aug. 15.

Graduates include students from the College of Allied Health, College of Arts and Humanities, College of Bible and Ministry, Paul R. Carter College of Business Administration, Cannon-Clary College of Education, Carr College of Nursing, College of Pharmacy, College of Sciences, and the Honors College.

Local students graduating include:

Tyler Stevenson of Dexter received a Bachelor of Science in exercise science.

Zachary Tanner of Bernie received a Bachelor of Business Administration in marketing.

Ethan Flowers of Dexter received a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance.

Maleah Clayton of Bernie received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in graphic design.

Kason Lawrence of Gideon received a Bachelor of Arts in Bible and ministry.

Missouri State

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Missouri State University awarded 2,872 degrees to students in spring 2020.

Students earned a total of 2,168 bachelor’s degrees, 592 master’s degrees, 98 doctorate degrees and 14 specialist degrees.

While Missouri State’s May 2020 commencement ceremony was canceled due to COVID-19, spring 2020 graduates have two opportunities to participate in an in-person commencement ceremony later this year at JQH Arena. The dates are Oct. 18 or Dec. 11.

Upper Iowa University

FAYETTE, Iowa — Upper Iowa University is pleased to announce Jamey Dusenbery of Sikeston, Mo., graduated Cum Laude in May with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resources Mgmt.
