Scott County tops 400 positive COVID-19 cases since March

There are 12 new positive COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours in Scott County, putting the county over 400 since the pandemic began in March.

According to the Scott County Health Department, there were also four new positive cases reported on Saturday and 17 on Monday, giving the county 411 cases.

Currently there are 115 active cases in the county with 283 recovered and 13 deaths related to the virus.

The Mississippi County Health Department reported 11 new positive cases in the general population in the last week, giving the county 100 cases since the pandemic began. The total number of active cases in the community has increased from six to 13.

The Southeast Correctional Center in Charleston had 47 inmates test positive for the coronavirus but there is currently no active cases.

There have been 23 staff members test positive for the virus with three still active.

The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services reports 259 positive cases in New Madrid County, an increase of 24 since Friday. No update on the number of current active cases since Friday has been released by the New Madrid County Health Department.

According to the Stoddard County Health Department there were no new cases reported Monday and four over the weekend, giving the county 230 cases with 27 active. Nine deaths have been reported with 194 recoveries.

The Pemiscot County Health Center reported an increase of eight cases since Friday, giving the county 245 cases Monday afternoon. There are 29 active cases with one currently hospitalized. There have been nine deaths and 207 released from isolation.

Cape Girardeau County reported an increase of 18 cases Monday along with 49 probable cases. The county has had 640 positive cases since the pandemic began and there are currently 90 active cases. The health department also reported their sixth death on Monday, a resident in their 70s.

According to the DHSS, Dunklin County has 319 positive cases, an increase of 34 cases since Friday. No update on the number of current active cases since Friday has been released by the Dunklin County Health Department.

On Monday, the DHSS reported 1,027 new cases in the last 24 hours and no new deaths while on Tuesday, there were 981 new cases and five additional deaths. To date, Missouri has had 60,935 confirmed cases with 1,312 deaths.
