Sikeston teacher awarded grant

Sikeston Kindergarten and Early Childhood Center Kindergarten teacher Leann Crook was recently awarded a $500-grant from the Missouri Retired Teachers Foundation. Her classroom will receive new Chromebooks with this grant money. The grant’s title was “Kinders Need Chromebooks. Too!” and was one of eight given in Region 12 by MRTA and its foundation, according to Anne Moyer, Region 12 Vice-President. This year all grants totaled $56,000 in the State of Missouri. “Thank you, (Principal) Ms. (Jenny) Hobeck and Ms. Crook for serving the children in your community,” Moyer said.
