CHARLESTON, Mo. — Jolene Hinton King, 90, died Sept. 16, 2020, at her daughter's home.

Born June 14, 1930, in Bridges, Missouri, daughter of the late William Marion and Ella Mae Givens Hinton, she worked at the telephone office in Charleston and as a homemaker. She was a Sunday school teacher.

In 1951, in Memphis, Tennessee, she married Chauncey Wendell "C.W." King, who preceded her in death in 1998.

She was also preceded in death by daughter-in-law, Penny Sue King, her son, Timothy Wayne King; and her siblings Lillian Smithers, Robert Francis Hinton, Elsie Marie Roy, Jewell Earl Hinton, Paul Leslie Hinton, Carmen Catherine Hicks, John William "J.W." Hinton, T.S. Hinton and Imogene Francis.

Survivors include: her children Mary Elizabeth (Gary) Thomas, Chauncey Wendell Jr. "Bud" and Stephen Eric (Jeannine); and six grandchildren and Great-grandchildren, Ryley Baugh, Rory King, Chance Baugh, Levi Thomas-Taylor, Pennington King, Everly King and Presley Minard.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Clinton Riverside Cemetery in Clinton, Michigan.

Czopek Funeral Directors in Wyandotte, Michigan, is in charge of arrangements.
