Three more COVID-19 deaths reported in area

Three more deaths related to COVID-19 were reported late Thursday afternoon by local health departments.

The New Madrid County Health Department reported two deaths, making 13 deaths for the county related to the coronavirus. Five new cases were reported, leaving the county with 26 active cases and 455 out of quarantine.

The Scott County Health Department reported an additional death, making 15 deaths in the county. There were also 18 new cases reported, giving the county 80 active cases with 698 recoveries.

The Stoddard County Public Health Center reported seven more active cases Thursday with five more recoveries. To date there are 106 active cases with 344 recoveries. There has been 14 deaths.

The Cape Girardeau County Public Health Center reported 303 active cases Thursday afternoon, an increase of 24, while 16 more recoveries were announced, making 1,141 for the county. There has been 15 deaths reported.

In Pemiscot County, the health department is reporting 53 active cases with four of those hospitalized. There has been 11 deaths and 398 released from isolation.

Health Departments in Mississippi County and Dunklin County had not released any new numbers as of 10 a.m. Friday.
