Free COVID support group offered via Zoom

SIKESTON — As the coronavirus pandemic continues throughout the country, many are still feeling the effects. A COVID support group offered by Bootheel Counseling Services is aimed at helping.

“We still see people experiencing signs and symptoms of anxiety and depression related to COVID-19,” said Kasie DeLay, clinical therapist at Bootheel Counseling Services. “We have also seen a lot of resilience and that is what we hope to promote during our support group.”

“Coping with COVID: Online Support” is a group held on the first and third Friday of the month from 11:30 a.m. until noon on Zoom.

The support group is offered to anyone impacted by COVID-19. The group is free and offered to anyone.

“We will be providing support to those impacted, but will also be talking about resiliency and stress management,” DeLay said.
