Barbara Ann Criss
BENTON, Mo. — Barbara Ann Criss, daughter of the late Tillman Luther Turner and Willie Lee Caraway Turner, was born on April 12, 1948, in Cape Girardeau and departed this life on Saturday, April 10, 2021, at her residence in Benton at the age of 72 years.
Mrs. Criss was a former employee at the Scott County Associate Circuit Clerk office and a member of Unity Baptist Church in Benton.
On April 1, 1988, she was united in marriage to Robert Earl Criss in Benton. Mr. Criss survives of the home in Benton.
Besides her husband, survivors include: two daughters, Kim (Patrick) Schlosser of Cape Girardeau and Tami Payne of McLeansboro, Illinois; one brother, Gary Turner of Benton; two sisters, Carolyn Davis and Brenda Ward both of Sikeston; six grandchildren, Logan (Lindsey) Schlosser of Advance, Aaron Schlosser and Courtney Schlosser both of Cape Girardeau, Madison Payne and Garrett Payne both of McLeansboro, Illinois, and Joseph Ellis of Benton.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Christy Lee Ellis.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton. Funeral services will then be conducted on Wednesday, April 14, 2021, at 11 a.m. at the Unity Baptist Church in Benton with Rev. Dennis Lowe and Rev. John Tarter officiating. Interment will follow in the Unity Baptist Cemetery.
