Online enrollment underway for R-1 schools

NEW MADRID, Mo - While there is still time for students to enjoy their summer vacation, the New Madrid County R-1 School District is readying for the start of the 2021-22 school year on Aug. 23.

All students must complete the yearly online registration before the first day of school on Aug. 23. Enrollment may be found by visiting www.nmceaglenation.com and selecting the parents tab then choosing student enrollment and clicking on register your student for school.

The New Madrid County Central High School counselors are back in the high school office and are able to adjust schedules as needed. They can be reached by email at crost@nmcr1.org for Casey Rost or at dallen@nmcr1.org for Dallas Allen.

On Aug. 19, New Madrid County Central High School will have open house.

For those who need to do the online enrollment, registration assistance will be offered from 5-8 p.m. in the commons. The location may be subject to change due to construction.

Also during open house, Chrome books, ID badges and schedules will be handed out to each student once registration is completed.

Freshman orientation will be from 6-7 p.m. in the auditorium with a tour of the building and pictures. Those attending should enter through the north lobby.

Sophomores, juniors and seniors will enter into the commons.

Pictures will be taken from 6-8 p.m.

The Technical Skills Center teachers will be present and in their classrooms during open house. Students are urged to visit those teachers for any questions about their programs.

Information on enrollment and the opening of school is also available by downloading the New Madrid County R-1 app from the apps store or on the Facebook page of the student’s school.
