SIKESTON — Mable Armstrong, age 78, passed away on Oct. 6, 2021, at Sikeston Convalescent Center in Sikeston.
She was born on March 29, 1943, in Savannah, Tennessee, to the late William and Lillie Deshazier Hopper.
On May 16, 2002, in Benton, Missouri, she married James Armstrong who preceded her in death on Nov. 9, 2012.
Survivors include: two daughters, Deana (Jamie) Parker of Sikeston and Linda (Tommy) Burton of Darden, Tennessee; two brothers, James Hopper of Sikeston and Merle Hopper of Oran, Missouri; one sister, Margaret Masters of Oran; nine grandchildren, Justin (Patty) Hawkins, Micheal (Blake) King, Brittney Parker, Ashley (Nick) Mansker, Blake Burton, Dylan Burton, Makayla Burton, Mykenzie Burton and Carly Graham; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by three brothers and one great-granddaughter, Aubreigh Parker.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, Oct. 10, 2021, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, where funeral services will be held on Monday, Oct. 11, 2021, at 1 p.m. Brother Tim Singleton officiating.
Burial will follow in New Morley Cemetery in Morley, Missouri.
Pallbearers will be: Justin Hawkins, Micheal King, Blake King, Trent Looney, D.J. White and Tommy Burton.
Honorary Pallbearers will be James Hopper, Merle Hopper, James McCants and Jamie Parker.
