Work on I-57

I’m curious. I see in the paper where Cape Girardeau is trying to get a new interchange off of I-55 and I’m wondering when MoDOT is going to stop working at Cape and start working on our I-57 we’re supposed to get through here.

Why didn’t I know?

I was just looking in my paper and it says something in here about a Swamp East Missouri Truck Show this past weekend. Why am I just now hearing about it? I look at the calendar of what all is going on and it wasn’t in there. And this isn’t the first time where things happen and we don’t know about it until afterwards. I would appreciate it if you guys know about it let us know beforehand.

We were not informed of the event beforehand. We do our best to know everything that is going on but we aren’t always told of events beforehand. Organizers of the show you are referring to never contacted us to let us know. We only found out the day of.

Slow down on Glenn

I wish people would stop speeding up Glenn Street in Sikeston. There is a state school there and it is distinctly marked 20 miles per hour while school is in session at the entrance and exit on Glenn Street. I wish somebody would slow those people down. They drive like a race track.
