Thankful for food giveaway

Residents of New Madrid County had much to be thankful for as members of the New Madrid Middle School TOP assist employees of the New Madrid County Health Department during a food giveaway Wednesday, Nov. 20. There were 200 boxes of food from the Southeast Missouri Food Bank along with potatoes and chicken given out. This year there are 17 eighth grade students from the Middle School taking part in the Teen Outreach Program which is led by Heather Edgar and Rochelle Maltbia at the Health Department and funded through the Department of Health and Department of Senior Services.
