SIKESTON -- A Morehouse man died after being struck by a vehicle early Monday in Sikeston. At 5:47 a.m. Monday, officers with Sikeston Department of Public Safety responded to a motor vehicle crash where James Hopper, 29, of Morehouse was walking along Highway 60 near Keystone Drive and was struck by multiple vehicles and killed, according to Sgt. Jon Broom, public information officer for Sikeston DPS. Hopper was pronounced dead at the scene...

The Sikeston Rotary Club raised $80,000 in supplies and cash donations and after paying for the semi and U-Hauls to deliver the supplies, sent $3,500 to Gulfport Orange Grove Rotary Club for the recovery effort.
