2013 Media Football Pick 'Em -- Week 3
After Week 2 and with not too many upsets, my Pick 'Em is lookin' good.
Myself, co-worker David Jenkins and the Southeast Missourian's Jeff Breer all hold a 20-5 record and top the list of media pickers. SD Sports cohort Derek James and DAR peer Rob Tate round out the top 5.
The two biggest games missed last week was Vianney's win over Jackson and Kennett taking care of Portageville. "Tater" and his co-worker Scott Borkgren were the only two to correctly guess Vianney's win while Derek "Deej" James was the only one brave enough to pick Kennett.
This week we also have a few tough matchups to pick from. The most split was the East Prairie-Scott City game which went 4 and 4 between us. Other than that, our picks are nearly identical. Brent Shipman, another SD cohort, was the only one who picked NMCC over Kennett in "Pixley Bowl -- Part Deux", which should be a close contest.
I noticed you message boarders started your own pick 'em as well. Good deal. Like Buck (the pick 'em moderator), I think it makes games that much more interesting on Friday's. A little competition between peers isn't a bad thing either. I know you guys are a week behind, but we ought to come up with a small (friendly) wager of sorts between the media and spectators. You down Buck??
Like last week, I've attached the tab that will run in our paper every Thursday above. If you need help seeing, just give me a shout in the comment section. Or pick up a paper Thursday afternoon. Let me know how you think our picks stack up or post your picks down below to see how you compare.
As always, thanks for reading and good luck to all teams Friday night.
Make sure to check back Friday for the next episode of The Last Word where myself and David Jenkins recap Week 2 and break down this week's upcoming matchups.
