I have been with the Standard Democrat sports department since 2007. I took over as sports editor in May of 2011 and have been slightly crazy about sports since I can remember. I attended Southeast Missouri State University and Scott County Central High School. I co-created our sports web show "The Last Word" and my two children, Elijah and CJ. I was married to my wife, Angie, in May of 2014. I love to golf, I am an avid NBA2K gamer and root for the Fighting Irish on Saturdays.

Week 9 Pick 'Em, The Last Word and directions

This blog is chock-full of football goodness. We're entering Week 9 with plenty of playoff seed implications on the line. If you need a reminder of where your team sits in the district seedings, click here.
There's also our weekly Media Pick 'Em above. I, and two other cohorts, are still two behind Jeff Breer. I may have took a few upsets this week but I'm looking to make my move into first place. We'll see how lucky I am with picks of Ste. Genevieve, East Prairie and Cardinal Ritter. Yeah, yeah. I took the Lions over Sikeston. The only one brave (stupid?) enough to.
Speaking of Cardinal Ritter...I was asked about directions from Sikeston to Cardinal Ritter. So, if you're not planning on attending the game or already know how to get there, scroll on down.
1. Hop on I-55 and drive 140 miles north.
2. Merge onto I-44 (Exit 207B) on the left towards Tulsa.
3. Take Louisiana Ave (Exit 288) toward Grand Blvd.
4. Turn left on Lafayette Ave.
5. Take first right on S Grand Blvd.
6. Turn left onto Grandel Sq.
7. Turn right on N Spring Ave. The school should be on your left.
If the directions aren't right, don't blame me. Write a strongly worded letter to mapquest.
