I have been with the Standard Democrat sports department since 2007. I took over as sports editor in May of 2011 and have been slightly crazy about sports since I can remember. I attended Southeast Missouri State University and Scott County Central High School. I co-created our sports web show "The Last Word" and my two children, Elijah and CJ. I was married to my wife, Angie, in May of 2014. I love to golf, I am an avid NBA2K gamer and root for the Fighting Irish on Saturdays.

Here is the newest episode of The Last Word.

Don't be alarmed upon first viewing, however. The man(?) who looks like Christmas threw up on won't harm you but he may have a few things to say that you may not agree with. Depending on where you went to school...

In this episode, we give our final thoughts on the SEMO Conference tournament and preview the upcoming Christmas tournaments. We make our predictions on who will win and much more.

This is our last episode of 2013 but we'll be back soon after New Year's. Thank you for watching and we look forward to bringing you more of our insight as basketball season heats up. I hear there's also a blooper episode in the works from our fabulous camera man Charlie Ziegenhorn who fantastically keeps the camera rolling at all times.
