The 1988 Class 3 state champion New Madrid County Central Eagles basketball team was honored during the Riverbend Classic Friday as part of their 'Spotlight Series'. Seen here are New Madrid County Central graduates Travis Day (left) and Kelvin Anderson (right) who helped propel the Eagles to their first state championship basketball team at New Madrid County Central. Members of the team were given honorary plaques for their and a team picture from their 1988 trip to the Show-Me Showdown. It's the 25th anniversery since that accomplishment.
