There was a lot of this going on at the Portageville Community Day held last Saturday, July 2. This grill was in one of the food vendor trailers. Great smell of sizzling meat and great tasting barbecue.

As the day came along several folks from throughout the county visited with friends, young and old. One of the favorite vendors was the Italian Ice trailer.

Despite all the good efforts, there were four cars that entered into the Car Show. Results were not available as of press time.

Several of the children had their face painted to help show their patriotism. Hannah Ward, right, is painting Kaleigh Ward's face. They were at the Don Day form commissioner booth when this took place.

The dunking booth was a favorite place for the young and young at heart. There were several that can to watch and try their best in dunking those that volunteered their time in the booth. Above Municipal Judge Chris Stinnett is about to take the plunge as one of his sons hit the target.
