A March snow day

Old Man Winter brought one more blast of winter to Southeast Missouri Wednesday and early Thursday. Youngsters took advantage of the fluffy snow and tried out their sledding and snowboarding skills on the side of the Mississippi River levee in New Madrid.

The levee along the Mississippi River creates a perfect hill for sledding.

The soft snow compacted well for high speed sledding.

Snowboarding is harder than it looks.

Who needs a sled. Some youngsters just enjoyed jumping into the large drifts.
