Memorial Day Service in Sikeston

Memorial Day is a day for the nation and its citizens to remember those who lost their lives in service to the country. On Monday, Sikeston did just that. The rain moved out of the area in time as a large crowd gathered in Veterans Park for the 27th annual Memorial Day Service.

Flags lined the walk way at the Sikeston Veterans Park.

Veterans from World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War and the more recent conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan were on hand to remember those who had fallen during those wars.
