Despite Saturday's dreary skies, the 2016 Cowboy Up! Festival drew people to downtown Sikeston. There visitors enjoyed not only the Farmers Market but a number of booths, rides, a petting zoo, music and other activities.

Despite Saturday's dreary skies, there was still plenty to do at the Downtown Historic Sikeston's CowboyUp! festival. As the train travels with its passengers around the Depot, Hannah, right, and Halyn Munday work on necklaces featuring rodeo symbols.

Kane Thurman made friends with a few young goats at the petting zoo Saturday. The petting zoo was just one of the activities available to the public at the CowboyUp! festival in Downtown Sikeston.

Saturday's Sikeston Jaycee Bootheel Rodeo Parade was cancelled due to rainy weather but that didn't stop fans from coming downtown for the other activities. In addition to the Farmers Market there were a number of western-related booths and activities in the Legion Park in Downtown Sikeston. Youngsters also still had the opportunity to watch as re-enactors recreated a robbery at the Sikeston Depot.
