The North Pemiscot Art Club took top honors for their float which featured the many famous people who have roots in Missouri including Porter Waggoner and Cheryl Crowe. The float was part of the Oct. 7 Grand Parade entries at the Portageville Soybean Festival.

Numerous marching bands from throughout Southeast Missouri participated in the National Soybean Festival's grand parade on Oct. 7 in Portageville. Both junior high school and high school bands were awarded prizes for their performances.

The St. Louis Cardinal mascot Fred Bird was a popular feature in Thursday's Soybean Festival Grand Parade. The appearance of Fred Bird was made possible through a donor to this year's festival, hosted by the Portageville Chamber of Commerce.
