Before starting their community service project, students at Immaculate Conception School, including Silas Smith (center) offered a prayer. As part of Earth Day on April 22, the students picked up litter along Scott Street in New Madrid. The portion of the road they chose is dedicated to the late Gavin Long, a former student at ICS, and Silas' cousin.

For Logan Carroll, a student at Immaculate Conception School in New Madrid, no litter was too small to pick up as part of the school's Earth Day service project on April 22. The students chose to clean up an area along Scott Street which is dedicated in memory of the late Gavin Long, a former ICS student.
