New Madrid County Relay for Life

With 15 teams taking part in the 2011 New Madrid County Relay for Life, they represented all ages and all parts of the county.

The cancer survivors make the first lap around the track.

The second lap featured survivors and their caregivers followed by the third lap with all the team members displaying their banners.

Many teams set up booths which they decorated for judging later in the evening.

It didn't matter how you made your laps around the track. Some preferred just to ride along.

Teams filled the track at New Madrid County Central on June 10 as the New Madrid County Relay for Life began.

In addition to the relay team, there were a number of spectators for this year's event.

Survivors released balloons as their names were read.

Starting off the relay was a performance of the National Anthem.
