Ajante Johnson

ST. LOUIS - Ajante' Kamar Johnson, 16, formerly of Charleston, died May 19, 2017, in St. Louis.

Born Aug. 15, 2000, in Sikeston, to Rodney Johnson of St. Louis and the late Audrey Kay Cross, he attended Vashon High School and Gateway STEAM High School. He was a member of the Reserved Officer Training Corps program.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his stepmother, Diane Johnson of St. Louis; his sister, Alysia Cross of New York; and his grandmother, Marzella Cross of Charleston.

A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday at New Perfect Peace Church, 3540 Marcus Ave., St. Louis. Robert Loyd Sr., pastor, will officiate.
