The Sikeston track and field team swept the Dexter Bearcats on Wednesday at Sikeston Public Schools Stadium. The boys team thrashed the Bearcats 136-18 while the girls prevailed 87-59. Even with the lopsided scores, Sikeston track coach Jerry Dement wasn't overly excited about his team's performances...

The Sikeston tennis team dropped to 3-3 on the season with a 5-4 loss to Poplar Bluff on Wednesday. "Poplar Bluff is much improved team - their top three are plenty tough and they have that good doubles team that went to state last year," said Sikeston tennis coach Brian James. "We beat them last week by the same score and it could've gone either way. It could've gone either way today too."...

The Cape Central Tigers got some revenge on Sikeston's baseball team on Wednesday, defeating the Bulldogs 4-2 at VFW Stadium. Cape Central (7-7) endured a 15-2 nightmare at the hands of the Bulldogs earlier this month, but the Tigers' Jason Chavez kept Sikeston's red-hot bats in check this time...
