  • None injured in trailer explosion (Local News ~ 01/10/09)
    MINER -- No one was injured in a camping trailer explosion Friday night. The explosion occurred around 8 p.m. in a trailer parked in Hinton Park off Highway 62 in Miner, according to Sonny Riley, a dispatcher for the Miner Police Department. A woman who lived in the trailer reported that she had smelled gas for about three days, so it's assumed the explosion was caused by some sort of a gas leak...

    BLOOMFIELD -- Three Dexter residents and an Arkansas woman have been charged with illegal drug activity in Stoddard County. Alexander Shane Alms, Natasha N. Alms and Tad J. Peaslee, all of Dexter; and Danielle D. Speers of Pickett, Ark., were each charged with class C felony of possession of marijuana and class A misdemeanor of possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a news release from Stoddard County Sheriff Carl Hefner...
