JACKSON, Tenn. -- Vera Maxine Schuerenberg, age 81, died June 9, 2012, at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson. Born Dec. 5, 1930, in Pinson, daughter of the late Tom and Della Golozier Jones, she moved to Jackson to make her home in 1979. She was a manager for Wal-Mart for 18 years and earlier taught Sunday school in Puxico, Mo. She was a member of Parkburg Baptist Church...

On June 4, Sikeston defeated Poplar Bluff 10-0 behind a one-hit, nine strike out five inning performance from starter Jacob Clark. Sikeston also got three hits from Clark and Blake Wolferdeng while Audie Hay, John Foster and Cody Rodgers all had two hits apiece...
