Speakout
(Opinion ~ 11/20/19)
This speakout goes against everybody who drives a car and texts on the phone. Every day it seems when I watch the news or open up the newspaper it seems like there is a driver who is running off the left or right side of the road and getting killed and getting hurt and the police report always reads “person runs off the road.” Now c’mon. We all know why people are running off the road and getting killed are because of these phones. Why can’t our congressman get together and pass a law that as soon as you get in a car your phone is disabled? You can’t get on them. There is not one day that goes by in Southeast Missouri where a person is killed running off the road and dying because of these phones. It looks very stupid when we have to tell somebody my kid, or my mother or my father or a relative was killed by somebody playing on a phone. When are we going to wake up? — Great idea but do they have that technology that your phone doesn’t work when getting in a vehicle and how would it be installed in all vehicles?
